Terms, refunds & privacy
Last updated: 21 October 2026. These terms are between you and Number Shark, an online number sourcing service based in the United Arab Emirates ("Number Shark", "we", "us"). By reserving a number, placing an order or paying, you accept these terms, the refund policy and the privacy policy below.
1. Terms of service
1.1 What we do – and what we don't
We provide a number sourcing and facilitation service: we identify a mobile number offered by a UAE telecommunications carrier (currently du and e&), work to secure it, and, with your authorisation, order it from the carrier directly in your name, so that it is registered to you from the start and the SIM is delivered to you by the carrier. We are an independent business. We are not a telecommunications operator and are not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by or acting for du (Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company PJSC) or e& (Emirates Telecommunications Group Company PJSC). Mobile numbers are allocated and controlled by the carriers and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA); we do not own them. The price you pay is for our service.
1.2 Eligibility
You must be at least 18, hold a valid Emirates ID, be legally able to contract, and be eligible under the carrier's own rules to hold the number in your name. You must give us true, complete and current information. We may ask you to verify your identity at any time and may refuse or cancel an order if you do not.
1.3 Listings and availability
Listings are generated automatically from information published by the carriers. "Checked with carrier" and "Available" mean that our automated systems found the number in the carrier's inventory at the time of the last check – not that it is guaranteed to remain available. Carrier inventory can change at any moment without notice. No number is guaranteed to you until we confirm that it has been secured. We may add, remove, withdraw or re-price any listing at any time.
1.4 Grades, rarity and "why it's rare"
Collections (such as Sovereign, Royal, Prestige and Elite), rarity figures such as "1 in 50,000", percentages and pattern descriptions are our own automated statistical estimates, provided for information only. They are not a valuation, appraisal, investment advice, or a statement of market or resale value, and we do not guarantee that a number is unique, that similar numbers are unavailable elsewhere, or that it can be resold at any price.
1.5 Prices
Prices are in UAE dirhams (AED) and are for our service. We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices. Our price includes the carrier's one-off charges to open the line we order for you (such as the SIM, activation, the first recharge, or an upfront plan payment where the checkout says it is included). Ongoing carrier charges are separate: monthly fees, renewals, recharges and anything else under the line or plan after it is registered to you are your responsibility and are payable to the carrier under its terms. We may change prices at any time before your order is confirmed. If a listing shows an obviously wrong price or description because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after payment.
1.6 Reservations and when a contract is formed
A reservation holds a number on our website for a limited time while you pay. It is not an acceptance of your order. A contract is formed only when we have confirmed your payment (for Aani and bank transfers, when the full amount has arrived in our account; for other methods, when the payment processor confirms it) and your order status shows "Payment received". Until we confirm that we have started securing the number, we may decline or cancel any order for any reason, in which case we refund you in full under section 2.
1.7 Payment
We accept payment only by the methods shown at checkout. These are currently Aani or bank transfer to the account shown on your order page, and digital assets through an independent payment processor (NOWPayments). If we add card, Apple Pay or Google Pay payments, they will be taken on an independent processor's secure payment page. Processors are independent and their own terms apply. Payment counts as received only when the full amount has arrived in our account (Aani and bank transfers) or when the processor confirms it (other methods). Paying for someone else, or someone paying for you: the number is always registered to the person whose Emirates ID details are given after payment. If someone else pays for your order, you confirm that they authorised the payment; the payer has no rights under the order, and a dispute or chargeback raised by the payer is treated as raised by you (section 2.7). We may ask for proof that a payment was authorised and may cancel and refund an order if we cannot verify it. Aani and bank transfers: send the exact amount with your order ID as the reference before your reservation ends; bank charges are yours. Digital assets: you are responsible for sending the exact amount, in the correct asset and on the correct network, before the invoice expires, and for any network or wallet fees. Digital-asset payments are irreversible; we are not responsible for losses caused by incorrect addresses, networks or amounts, delays or failures of a processor, bank, wallet or blockchain, or exchange-rate movements.
1.8 Registering the number in your name, and delivery
- After payment, you provide the details the carrier needs to register the number in your name, through the secure form on your private order page: your full name as on your Emirates ID, Emirates ID number and expiry date, date of birth, gender, nationality, a delivery address in the UAE and a contact number. You must provide them within 30 days of payment.
- By submitting them you authorise us to order the number from the carrier in your name and to give these details to the carrier (and its delivery partner) for that purpose only. You confirm the details are your own, complete and correct.
- The carrier delivers the SIM to the address you give. You must receive it yourself and complete the carrier's checks, which may include showing your original, valid Emirates ID to the courier and a biometric (fingerprint or face) check.
- Registration is carried out by the carrier under its own rules, checks and fees, and the carrier's decision is final. If the carrier refuses to register the number for a reason relating to you (for example eligibility, identity, credit, outstanding balances, limits on numbers per person, or failed checks at delivery), section 2.4 applies.
- Numbers that come with a postpaid plan. Some numbers can only be registered on a carrier's postpaid plan; the listing and checkout say so and show the monthly price and contract length. You choose the plan after payment. The plan, its monthly charges and its commitment period (for example 12 or 24 months) are a contract between you and the carrier, and the carrier may keep a premium number on its first plan for up to 12 months.
- Numbers for UAE nationals only. Numbers marked "UAE nationals only" can only be registered on the carrier's plans for Emirati citizens. By ordering one you confirm you are a UAE national; if the carrier refuses the registration because you are not eligible, section 2.4 applies.
- The courier contacts you on the number you give us. If the SIM cannot be delivered because the address or contact number you gave is wrong, incomplete or unreachable, or because you are unavailable, any redelivery is arranged with the carrier and any extra carrier charges are yours; if the carrier cancels the order for this reason, section 2.4 applies.
- We will use reasonable efforts. We do not guarantee any timeframe; timing depends on the carrier and its delivery.
1.9 Your responsibilities
You will use the number only lawfully and in line with TDRA regulations and the carrier's terms. You must not use our service for fraud, spam, impersonation, money laundering, sanctions evasion or any unlawful purpose, or to register a number using someone else's identity. The registration details you give must be your own. We may refuse, suspend or cancel any order we reasonably suspect breaches this section, keep records, and report to the competent authorities. In that case section 2.4 applies.
1.10 After registration
Once the number is in your name, your relationship for that number is with the carrier. We are not responsible for the carrier's services, coverage, pricing, plan changes, suspension, disconnection, reallocation or recycling of the number, or anything the carrier does or fails to do.
1.11 Limitation of liability
Our service and website are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law: (a) our total liability arising from or connected with an order is limited to the amount you actually paid us for that order; (b) we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated resale value; and (c) we are not liable for the acts or omissions of carriers, regulators, payment processors, blockchains, wallets or other third parties, or for events outside our reasonable control, including carrier or system outages, regulatory changes, cyber-attacks and force majeure. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability or right that cannot be excluded or limited under UAE law.
1.12 Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for any loss, claim, fine or cost (including reasonable legal fees) we suffer because you gave false information, broke these terms, or misused a number or our service.
1.13 Communications
You agree that we may contact you by email, phone, SMS or WhatsApp about your order. Your private order link gives access to your order; keep it confidential. We are not responsible for anything that happens because you shared it.
1.14 Promo codes
Promo codes are optional, have no cash value, cannot be exchanged, combined or applied after an order is placed, and may be limited, changed or withdrawn at any time. One code per order. Any refund is based on the amount you actually paid; the discount is never paid out. Set prices (section 2.8) already include their discount, so promo codes can't be used on a set.
1.15 Referral codes
After your number is delivered we may send you a personal referral code. A friend who uses it on an order gets the discount shown with the code; it works like a promo code (section 1.14: one code per order, not combined with a set price). When that friend's number has been delivered, you earn the thank-you amount stated in the email that brought you the code, paid by bank transfer or Aani to a UAE account in your own name once you send us its details. No reward is earned on your own orders (for example the same name, email, phone number, address or payment method), on an order that is cancelled or refunded, or above a monthly limit we may set. We may change or end the programme, or withdraw a code that is misused (for example through fake or self-made orders); rewards already earned under these terms are still paid.
1.16 Our website and content
The listings, rarity figures, grades, descriptions, images and software on this website are ours. You may use them to shop with us, but you may not copy, republish, scrape or otherwise extract them, or access the website with automated tools, bots or scripts, without our written permission. We may block access that we reasonably believe breaks this section.
1.17 General
We may update these terms at any time; the version shown when you placed your order applies to that order. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your order to anyone else without our written consent. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction. These terms are provided in English and Arabic; where the law requires the Arabic text to prevail it does, and otherwise the English text prevails.
2. Refund & cancellation policy
Please read this carefully before paying. Refunds are available only in the situations below.
2.1 If we can't secure your number – full refund
If, after your payment is confirmed, we cannot secure the number (for example because the carrier releases it to someone else, withdraws it, or refuses to allocate it), or if we decline or cancel your order under section 1.5 or 1.6, we will refund the amount we received for the order. We may offer you an alternative number instead; you may choose that or the refund. This refund is our entire liability for not delivering the number.
2.2 If you cancel before we start securing the number
You may cancel by contacting us before we tell you that we have started registering the number (order status "Registering in your name"). We will refund the amount received less a cancellation fee of 15% of the order price, which covers payment processing, administration and the reservation of the number.
2.3 After we start registering the number – no refund
Once your order shows "Registering in your name", we place the order and pay the carrier on your behalf. From that point the order cannot be cancelled by you and no refund is due, except under section 2.1 if we ultimately cannot secure the number.
2.4 No refund in these cases
- You do not provide your registration details within 30 days of payment, or do not respond to us within 30 days of our first notice. We may then release the number and close the order.
- The carrier refuses to register the number for a reason relating to you (section 1.8), including if you do not receive the SIM, cannot show a valid Emirates ID, or do not pass the carrier's checks at delivery.
- Delivery fails for a reason relating to you (section 1.8), for example a wrong or unreachable address or contact number.
- We cancel your order because of false information, suspected fraud or misuse, or a breach of section 1.9.
- You change your mind about a number after we have started registering it, or after delivery.
- After the number has been registered in your name, the sale is final. There are no returns, exchanges or refunds.
2.5 Underpayments, overpayments and late payments
- Underpayment: we may ask you to pay the shortfall within 48 hours. If you don't, we may cancel the order and refund what we received less the 15% cancellation fee.
- Overpayment: if you pay more than the order total, tell us in writing within 30 days of the payment. We return the excess only to the card, account or wallet it came from, less any transfer, network and processing fees. Excess of AED 50 or less, or not claimed within 30 days, is not returned.
- Late payment: if payment arrives after your reservation expired and the number is still available, we may accept it and continue. If the number is no longer available, section 2.1 applies.
2.6 How refunds are paid
- Refunds are calculated in AED on the amount we actually received for the order.
- We only ever refund to the original payment method: the same card through the payment processor, the same bank account the transfer came from, or, for digital assets, the sending wallet you confirm to us in writing from the email address used for the order. We never send a refund to a different card, account, wallet or person, whatever the reason given.
- Digital-asset refunds are paid in USDT or, at our choice, the asset you paid with, at the rate available to us on the day the refund is sent; network and processor fees for sending it are deducted. A transfer to a wallet address you confirmed cannot be recovered if the address is wrong.
- Bank charges for sending a refund by bank transfer are deducted from it.
- We aim to send approved refunds within 14 business days. Card refunds then take the time your bank needs, usually 5 to 10 business days.
- Carrier fees you paid to the carrier are not refundable by us.
2.7 Chargebacks and disputes
Please contact us before disputing a payment: most issues are solved quickly, and refunds under this policy go back to the card or account you paid from. If you dispute a card payment (a "chargeback") or try to reverse a payment through a processor, bank or exchange instead of contacting us, we may suspend your order until the dispute is resolved and we will give the processor the order record (your acceptance of these terms, the registration of the number in your name and its delivery). A chargeback for a number that was registered to you and delivered is not a valid refund route. Digital-asset payments cannot be reversed. To request a refund, email [email protected] with your order reference.
2.8 Matching sets
A set price applies only to numbers bought together in one payment. Each number in a set is its own order: it is registered in the name of the person whose details are given for it, and it is secured, delivered and, where these terms allow, refunded on its own. Each number's share of the set price is shown on its order page. If we can't secure a number in a set, you receive a full refund of that number's share (section 2.1) or an alternative number, and the rest of the set goes ahead at the set price. If you cancel one or more numbers of a set (section 2.2), the set discount no longer applies to the numbers you keep: the difference between their separate prices and their set shares is deducted from the refund, together with the cancellation fee.
3. Privacy policy
This policy explains how Number Shark (the data controller) handles personal data, in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and other applicable UAE law.
3.1 What we collect
- Order details: your name, email, phone/WhatsApp number, your emirate, the number you ordered, and any notes.
- Payment details: order and payment references, amounts, and transaction information provided by our processors: for cards, the card type, last four digits, issuing country and name on the card (used to prevent fraud); for bank transfers, the sender name and reference; for digital assets, wallet addresses and transaction IDs. We never receive your full card number or security code, bank login, exchange login or wallet keys.
- Registration details (after payment): your full name as on your Emirates ID, Emirates ID number and expiry date, date of birth, gender, nationality, delivery address and a contact number for the courier, and a record of the consents you gave. We never ask for a photo or scan of your ID, your UAE PASS password, one-time codes (OTP) or bank card details.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, a session identifier and server logs, used to run and secure the site.
- Referral codes: your code, which orders used it, and the account details you send us to receive a reward.
- Number alerts (only if you ask for one): the digits you want, your email and/or WhatsApp number, your language, and which numbers we have told you about. No account is created.
- Communications: messages you send us and our replies.
3.2 Why we use it
- To take, perform and manage your order, including ordering the number from the carrier in your name and its delivery (performance of our contract with you). We use your registration details only for this, on the basis of the explicit consent you give in the form.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including accounting, tax, anti-fraud, anti-money-laundering and telecommunications rules.
- To protect our business, customers and website: preventing fraud and abuse, enforcing our terms, and handling disputes and legal claims (our legitimate interests).
- To send the number alerts you asked for (your consent). You can stop an alert at any time with the link in every alert email, or by writing to us.
- To see which of our adverts work: if you arrive from one of our TikTok ads, we tell TikTok when you open a checkout, place an order or pay (see 3.3).
- We do not send marketing messages unless you ask to receive them. We do not sell your personal data.
3.3 Who we share it with
- The carrier (du or e&) and its delivery partner, as needed to register the number in your name and deliver the SIM. This is the only party your registration details are shared with.
- Payment processors (currently NOWPayments for digital assets, and any card processor we add later), who act under their own privacy policies.
- Our bank, which receives Aani payments and bank transfers.
- TikTok, only if you arrived from one of our TikTok ads, so we can see which ads work. When you open a checkout, place an order or pay, our server sends TikTok the ad's click ID (when TikTok adds one to the link), your IP address and browser type, and basic order details. When you place an order or pay, it also sends your email address and phone number, but only in a scrambled, one-way form (a SHA-256 hash) that TikTok uses to match them against accounts it already has: your actual email address and phone number are never sent. We never send your name, Emirates ID details, delivery address or order links, and no TikTok code runs on our pages. TikTok handles this data under its own privacy policy.
- WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to hear from us on WhatsApp, under its own privacy policy.
- Service providers who host or support our systems, bound to protect your data.
- Professional advisers, and authorities, regulators, courts or law enforcement where required by law or to prevent fraud or protect our rights.
- A buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganised.
3.4 International transfers and blockchains
Some processors and providers may process data outside the UAE. Where they do, we rely on the transfer mechanisms permitted by UAE law. Blockchain transactions are public and permanent; we cannot change or delete information recorded on a blockchain.
3.5 How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for at least 5 years after the order is closed, or longer if the law requires or a claim is pending. Technical logs are kept for up to 12 months. Registration details are kept only until we confirm your SIM has been delivered or your order is closed, and are then deleted; encrypted backup copies are overwritten within 7 days. We keep a record that you gave consent and when. A number alert ends after 90 days or when you stop it, and its contact details and history are deleted 30 days after it ends. Other data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above.
3.6 Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Registration details are sent over an encrypted connection, encrypted with AES-256 before they are stored (with the key kept separately from the database), visible only to our fulfilment team with every access logged, and never sent by email. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your order link private.
3.7 Your rights
Subject to the law, you may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive a copy of it. Some requests may be limited where we must keep data by law or to establish or defend legal claims. Email [email protected]; we may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to the UAE Data Office.
3.8 Cookies and similar technology
We use one essential cookie that keeps your reservation working, and your browser's local storage to remember your language, your latest order link and, if you arrived through one of our tagged links or adverts, which one (for 30 days, including TikTok's click ID if you came from a TikTok ad), so we know which adverts work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and no TikTok or other advertising code runs on our pages. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when you visit.
3.9 Children and changes
Our service is not for anyone under 18. We may update this policy; the latest version is always on this page.
